IV. Flags A. GREEN : used to start race. B. YELLOW: used to indicate hazardous conditions ahead, such as a downed rider, oil spill or debris on the track. The race will still continue, but there is no passing in the corner where the yellow flag is displayed. C. RED: race has been stopped. Return to the pits at parade speed. D. WHITE: one lap remaining. E. CHECKERED: end of race. Return to pits. F. BLACK: used to signal a rider to exit the track because of dangerous conditions on his bike (blowing oil, loose fender, etc.) or for misconduct on the track. G. Halfway Flags: At the start of the lap beginning the second half of a race, at the starter's discretion, the starter shall display crossed furled green and white flags to indicate the race is halfway complete.
