III. Class Structure A. FORMULA CLASSES: no restrictions other than displacement with up to a 1mm overbore. 1. FORMULA III (LIGHTWEIGHT GP): 125cc GP bikes, up to 650cc four-stroke twins, up to 500cc four-stroke four cylinder, up to 400cc two-stroke non-GP bikes. 2. FORMULA II (MIDDLEWEIGHT GP): 250cc GP bikes, and all FIII legal bikes. 3. FORMULA I (OPEN GP): No restrictions. B. SUPER STREET: all Super Street classes are based on street legality (the model must be able to be registered for the street). Must have functional charging system. Must have DOT legal tires. Must have silenced exhaust. Overbores through 1mm are allowed. Classes are as follows: 600 Super Street (4 cylinder up to 600cc & 2 cylinder up to 750cc) - Kawasaki ZX636 is legal in 600 Super Street as long as it conforms to 600 Production rules set up. 750 Super Street (4 cylinder up to 750cc & 2 cylinder up to 1000cc) Open Super Street (no restriction on displacement) C. 600 PRODUCTION: 4 cylinder up to 600cc & 2 cylinder up to 750cc, no overbore allowed. MUST BE "STOCK" FROM THE MANUFACTURER.. with no parts removed (unless otherwise specified) with the following exceptions: All DOT tires allowed Chain and final drive gearing (sprockets) Carburetor jetting / air filter Rear shock(s) / fork springs / valving Brake pads / lines Handlebars / foot peg assemblies / seats Exhaust system / ignition advancer / gauges No Quick Shifter Mechanism allowed D. NOVICE: heat races will be 10 laps. A racer may not enter more than five (5) Novice races. Novice classes are as follows: 1. "Small bike Novice" - Up to 600cc 2. "Big bike Novice" - Unlimited displacement E. PERFORMANCE INDEX: occurs when a non-U.S.-spec motorcycle is shown to have a large horsepower advantage than others in its displacement group, and may, at the discretion of the Arbitration Committee, be assigned to another class.
